Online UPS for Hospitals and Medical Equipment

Imaging systems, lab analyzers and hospital IT react badly to dips and outages. We size double-conversion online UPS systems for individual devices up to whole hospital wings.

Online UPS protecting diagnostic equipment in a hospital

What goes wrong

Typical power problems on these sites.

Interrupted scans

A dip during a CT or MRI scan can abort the study and force a repeat.

Generator start gap

Standby generators take seconds to start; sensitive equipment needs power in between.

Data loss

Lab analyzers, records servers and nurse-station systems lose work in an unplanned shutdown.

What we would propose

Starting points; the final choice follows your load list.

Send us these for a quote

  1. Equipment list with model and rated power
  2. Peak or inrush current for imaging systems
  3. Required backup time
  4. Input voltage and phases
  5. Installation room size and access
  6. Hospital or local electrical specification, if any

Questions

Can one UPS protect a CT or MRI system?

Often yes, but imaging systems have high peak currents, so sizing must follow the equipment maker's power requirements. Send us the site planning data and we size the UPS against the peak load.

Which standard is your online UPS tested to?

Our high-frequency online range is CE tested to EN IEC 62040-1. If your project needs other approvals, tell us before quoting.

Does an online UPS replace the hospital generator?

No. The UPS bridges the gap until the generator takes over and keeps power clean while it runs. The two work together.
